The mill is available for holiday lets on a weekly basis during the summer period. The week runs from 16.00 saturday afternoon until 10.00 the following saturday morning.

A deposit of 50 percent is required on booking and the remainder is due 6 weeks before the start of the holiday.

The joys of living in rural France.

However living in the wilds has many advantages and benefits.

The area around here is some of the least spoiled in France and is a nature reserve in its own right. The wild life here is astonishing with what we consider rare species at every turn. Only the other day I had a pine martin run almost over my feet and an hour later watched a family of young coypu playing on the island.

Just looking at the butterflies you can sit relaxing on the patio and in their appropriate season have such species as the Swallowtail, the Scarce Swallowtail, Camberwell Beauty or Purple Emperor land on you or your book.

In the late summer and autumn the woods abound with the wild mushrooms you associate with French cooking and we collect ceps, chanterelle, pied de mouton, trompette de morte and many others.

There is a rustic barbecue on the island that is very useful for those days when it is just too hot as there is always a breeze off the river and you can put your bottles in the river to keep cool. This is not to be recommended with champagne.

Whether you come for an energetic walking, biking or site seeing holiday or just for a nice quiet rest in the country you will be assured of a warm welcome from Tom and Joan.
